Nasal Fracture Correction

Nasal Fracture Correction

This surgery is usually performed within the first week after the injury and is generally not possible if more than 14 days have passed. Impacts to the nose may involve the nasal bones, cartilage, the nasal septum, and surrounding structures such as the cheeks and eye sockets. Based on the extent of these injuries, either an open or closed reduction surgical approach is selected.

During the procedure, the fractured bone is repositioned to its anatomical location, correcting any visible deformity of the nose. Additionally, if the septal fracture causes nasal obstruction, it is realigned to restore proper breathing.
